Charlotte Hornets' LaMelo Ball out for the rest of the season with a broken ankle

LaMelo suffered a fracture on Monday night against the Detroit Pistons

Michael Jordan must be fuming right now after LaMelo Ball fractured his right ankle during the Hornets' game against the Detroit Pistons. Despite his team won, losing the best player from the entire squad can be detrimental for Charlotte. It all happened really fast, we all needed to watch the replay in order to understand how the fracture took place. LaMelo has been suffering numerous ankle injuries throughout the season, it all seems like Melo's ankle finally gave up. The injury wasn't awful to watch, LaMelo simply made a step backwards and felt the ankle snapping. He immediately fell on the floor and started grabbing the area in pain.

It was instantly known by the Hornets' medical staff it was a serious injury and it was confirmed as a fracture on that same day. On Tuesday, the doctors confirmed LaMelo Ball is missing the rest of the season after a second exploration. The worst fears for every Hornets' fans became a reality. They no longer have their franchise playing for them during the rest of the season. Scooper Shams Charania was the first one to confirm LaMelo Ball is injured and will miss the rest of the season. These types of injuries need a proper time to fully heal after the surgery to repair the area.
